Mexican bush sage is one of the most attractive salvias. It has ornamental & showy velvety flower spikes produced from late summer to first frost. It typically grows 4-6ft tall and wide. Unlike its mainstream cousins, this variety is for decorative, ornamental purposes only.
Native to central Mexico. Easy to grow & requires little maintenance with blooms that last for several months. It tolerates heat very well and is resistant to drought. If you have a garden with a sunny corner, the Mexican bush variety makes an easy and beautiful choice to round out your plants. It also provides you with lovely and long-lasting cuttings to freshen up your home all summer long.
Scientific name: Salvia leucantha
