Goldeneye is an excellent herbaceous perennial evergreen native to much of the southwest and into Mexico at elevations from 1000 to 3500 feet. It forms a dense rounded mound of medium green, rough-textured leaves. Grows to 3ft with an equal spread. In the spring yellow daisy-like flowers rise above the foliage. Plant in full sun as its highly tolerant of summer heat. Very tolerant even of caliche soils.
