Desert Ruellia is an evergreen shrub that looks similar to the Texas Sage or Heavenly Cloud. It grows at a moderate rate to to 5 feet (slightly higher with regular irrigation) with equal spread. Ruellia flowers during warm times of year, and is heaviest in spring and again in fall. Hardy to 25oF, sparsely foliated in winter and even defoliates during severe cold snap, but quickly recovers. Additional colors include Katie Pink & white.
