Cape Honeysuckle is evergreen woody perennial shrub or vine. That’s right – it can be utilized either way. It can grow 50-100 ft but can be maintained to a 4-8 ft shrub with shearing. Flowers on this plant are brilliant, tubular & range in color from orange to vermilion to deep red from October to March. In Phoenix, Cape Honeysuckle is generally hardy having only minor feeze damage during the coldest winters. Flowers attract hummingbirds.
