Shade - Fan West Ash

Fan West is a vigorous, sterile ash that is super tough.  It thrives in poor, dry soils and also grows well in cold, windy, harsh locations. This outstanding deciduous shade tree has a strong upright central leader and broad, rounded crown with great branching.  reat shade tree that tolerates poor soil, desert heat and wind.  Large, olive green foliage on a good limb structure.  Non-seeding.  Cross of Texas Green Ash and Arizona Ash found by Eddie Fanick of San Antonio along the Guadalupe River.  Mature Height is 40-55 feet with a spread of 40-45 feet.
