Tropical - Jamaican Cherry

Jamaican Cherry trees have a rapid growth rate.  White flowers with yellow stamens turn to berries.  Fruit has a soft, juicy pulp, exceedingly sweet and is flavored like cotton candy or caramel, filled with tiny, barely noticeable seeds.  The tree has a wide crown and drooping branches that spread almost horizontally. Leaves are simple, alternate, lanceolate, oblique, drooping and with toothed margins (especially towards the pointed tips). Twigs and leaves are covered in tiny hairs and are sticky to the touch.
